I guess I haven’t had my heating and cooling machine checked in a long time, either that or the prices have very quickly ramped up, because when I saw the final bill handed to me by the A/C technician, I could feel my eyes bulge out of my head! It was almost 100 dollars more than what I was expecting! Now granted, I haven’t gotten any HVAC maintenance or HVAC tune ups in a long time, so the price could have gone up.
And the fact that I have gone so long, probably also contributed to the price, but even with those factors considered, the price still seemed extreme! Now I wish I had looked around at other heating and air conditioning places, but this HVAC company is the same company I have gone with for several years, so the thought didn’t even cross my mind.
I very reluctantly paid the bill, and then I had to spend a while thinking about how I am going to pay the rest of my bills, and for groceries. Luckily I was able to make it work after I sold a treadmill that I was no longer using, but it was putting it close. I hope after this HVAC repair, that my furnace system and A/C don’t have issues for a long time, because I don’t think I can afford anymore than what I had today! Perhaps I should set aside some money for the future, just in case my furnace does decide to break down again, I will be prepared.
